Development of the information technology industry of the Ulyanovsk Region.
The Government of the Ulyanovsk Region defines as one of the priorities of its work comprehensive support for the development of the IT industry, which is implemented in accordance with the Strategy for the Development of the Information and Digital Technologies Industry of the Ulyanovsk Region until 2030, approved by Order of the Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region (dated 18.10.2019 No. 1293-p).

II. Measures to support the information technology industry.
- Reduced regional tax rates under the simplified taxation system in the amount of 1% if the taxable item is income. (5% and 10%, if the taxable item is income reduced by the amount of expenses;)
- One-time welfare payment is provided to IT specialists for the purchase of housing, the amount of which is 250 thousand rubles
- Program of preferential loans of up to 5 million rubles with an interest rate of 3% to 5% per annum when providing collateral and 10% in the absence of collateral for up to 2 years
- Support for educational and career guidance projects in the field of information technology. (In 2023, 6 projects totaling 1.65 million rubles were supported, in which more than 3,500 young people will participate.)
- Grants are provided for the development of domestic IT solutions; the opportunity to participate in congress and exhibition events is provided free of charge
III. Digital solutions
Ulyanovsk IT companies are widely known internationally. Many of them are included in the list of the TOP 100 largest Russian IT companies and are recognized as leaders in the world in the areas of web design, mobile applications, and software development for industrial enterprises. They have developed software products that are used both in our region and in other regions of the country. The customers were both private organizations and Ministries of the region.34 companies are the possessors of right of 59 software units included in the Unified Register of the Russian Software.
