Bridgestone

The plant in the Ulyanovsk Region is the first production site of Bridgestone in Russia and the CIS countries.

The production of tires for all types of light, freight and passenger vehicles is located in the Zavolzhye Industrial Park on an area of more than 80 hectares. Bridgestone's partner in this project was Mitsubishi, which will obtain 10% in Bridgestone Tire Manufacturing C.I.S. (the structure that manages the new plant).

Construction of the plant began in 2014, construction was completed in 2016, and the grand opening of the enterprise took place in May 2017. By the end of 2018, the plant plans annually to produce 12 thousand tires per day annually, which corresponds to an annual capacity of approximately 4 million pieces. At the Ulyanovsk plant, the company produces both winter – studded and non-studded, as well as summer, tires.

When choosing a site, the attitude of the local government towards foreign investors and the financial scheme for supporting the project were taken into account. Workers and engineers from Japan, Moscow and other regions of Russia work in Ulyanovsk.
