Aluminum Can Production Plant

ARNEST GC, ARNEST PACKAGING SOLUTIONS

Arnest GC acquired the capacity for the production of aluminum beverage packaging from a US company – Ball Corporation in September 2022 after its announcement of withdrawal from the Russian market. In 2023, the company continued the construction of the plant in the territory of the Zavolzhye Industrial Park.

On March 15, 2024, the official opening of the new Arnest Packaging Solutions plant took place.

The launch of the first line was carried out by State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Viktor Yevtukhov and Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region Aleksey Russkikh.

A modern plant with an area of over 37,000 sq. m is equipped with high-speed innovative equipment that allows the production of up to 2,000 aluminum cans per minute.

Arnest Packaging Solutions is a leading Russian manufacturer of aluminum packaging for beverages. The company owns four plants for the production of aluminum cans and the only plant in Russia for the production of aluminum can ends. The enterprises are located in the Moscow, Leningrad, Chelyabinsk and Ulyanovsk Regions.

"As of this date, it is difficult for me to name a production with once "foreign investments" that would not have been restarted and developed with the participation of Russian investments. The new high-tech plant in Ulyanovsk was no exception. In conditions of difficult logistics and sanctions pressure from unfriendly countries, the Russian investor managed to find modern alternative technological solutions. Meanwhile, at all important stages of implementation of this project, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia provided all required and possible measures of state support – first of all, it is a preferential loan from the Industrial Development Fund in the amount of 5 billion rubles. A favorable investment climate has been formed in the Ulyanovsk Region. The Zavolzhye Industrial Park operating here is one of the most efficient industrial sites in the country. For every invested budget ruble, it brings in more than 30 rubles of tax revenue to the budget. With the commissioning of the Arnest Group plant, these indicators will increase significantly."
