Russian electrotechnical company IEK GROUP has acquired the assets of the French Legrand Group in the Russian Federation.
There are three high-tech production sites in the Ulyanovsk Region:
- Legrand Volga enterprise in the Zavolzhye Industrial Park, where the Contactor JSC plant moved in June 2022;
- branch of Legrand Ulyanovsk LLC, also located in the Zavolzhye Industrial Park;
- production lines in the village of Chufarovo, Veshkaymsky District.
The production is certified for compliance with the requirements of international and GOST R ISO standards: 9001-2015 "Quality Management System", 14001-2015 "Environmental Management System" and 45001-2018 "Occupational Health and Safety Management System".
The enterprises release the following products: electrical installation products for commercial and household purposes, modular circuit breakers, protection and switching equipment for 0.4 kV to 6,300 A electrical networks, cable channels, mini channels and accessories to them. At the end of 2023, the production of new generation air circuit breakers – Proton M, manufactured under the Contactor brand, was launched. Ten series of circuit breakers manufactured by JSC Contactor were included in the list of domestic products of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in November last year. The daily volume of finished goods warehouses located in Ulyanovsk and Dmitrov (the Moscow Region) is over 20 million units.
The number of employees involved at the company's production sites in Ulyanovsk exceeds 900 people.
IEK GROUP has announced large-scale investments in the acquired Russian Legrand production assets in the amount of 1 billion rubles in the next three years.
